Regarded as San Francisco's foremost seafood restaurant, Waterbar continues to set new standards of sustainability, variety, and excellence in the sourcing, preparation and presentation of food from the sea. Waterbar is situated in a prime location on the waterfront of San Francisco’s Embarcadero, just south of the “Cupid's Span" sculpture, featuring panoramic views of the bay, Bay Bridge, Treasure Island, and the San Francisco skyline.

BENEFITING THE SAN FRANCISCO CHAPTER OF THE SURFRIDER FOUNDATION, WATERBAR'S OYSTERFEST HAS RAISED $120,000 OVER THE LAST 11 YEARS.

DONATION OF $90 (PLUS CONVENIENCE FEES) INCLUDES ADMISSION, RESTAURANT BITES, WINES, CRAFT BEERS, OYSTERS, HORS D'OEUVRES, LIVE MUSIC, GAMES AND SILENT AUCTION.

Our Oyster Giveback Campaign is going strong!

Waterbar proudly donates 5¢ for every oyster sold in support of our local community. We are pleased to again partner with The Watershed Project whose mission is to inspire Bay Area communities to understand, appreciate, and protect our local watersheds. By engaging students, teachers and volunteers on shorelines, giving them the tools to create and care for healthy watersheds. Waterbar strives to ensure the highest standard of environmentally safe, sustainably-sourced seafood from both local and international waters, respecting seasonality and the natural essence of the sea.

Under the guidance of Chef Parke Ulrich, Waterbar presents a daily menu of fresh-caught, sustainably sourced fish and shellfish as well as the most expansive selection of oysters on the West Coast, served sparkling fresh from the famed beds of California, Washington, British Columbia, Massachusetts, Maine, Virginia and Prince Edward Island. 

Waterbar's dessert and pastry selection is a requisite for our guests who prefer to finish a meal in style. The imaginative take on ingredients come together in a way that demonstrate Waterbar's passion for the best while showcasing the flavors nature and the San Francisco Bay Area have to offer.
