Wrye on Rye: january 27th, 2017

Waterbar is trying new things in 2017. On Friday January 27th Joe Wrye our lead bartender and Justin Baade our Chef de Cuisine join forces for a celebration of whiskey, bourbon and rye whiskey. Enjoy small bites and whiskey flights on our Looking Glass Terrace from 5:30pm to whenever the bottles are empty! 

We love Riesling: February 28th-March 5th

Riesling. Riesling is our Sommelier Steve Izzo's inspiration, which in turn inspires our Chef de Cuisine Justin Baade. We have a whiskey themed evening coming where Chef Justin made us proud, and this evening shouldn't be any different. Come and enjoy the night with good food and wine with even better friends. Only available with reservations before 8:30pm with the entire table enjoying the Riesling menu. Four course menu: $65 per person with wine pairing an additional $45.


First Course: Housemade Ricotta Ravioli - crisp brussels sprout leaves, pomegranate, lemon brown butter

Second Course: Pan Roasted Rock Cod - white beans, spinach, pancetta, cider glazed mussels

Waterbar strives to ensure the highest standard of environmentally safe, sustainably-sourced seafood from both local and international waters, respecting seasonality and the natural essence of the sea.

Under the guidance of Chef Parke Ulrich, Waterbar presents a daily menu of fresh-caught, sustainably sourced fish and shellfish as well as the most expansive selection of oysters on the West Coast, served sparkling fresh from the famed beds of California, Washington, British Columbia, Alaska, Massachusetts, Maine, Virginia and Prince Edward Island. 

Waterbar's dessert and pastry selection is a requisite for our guests who prefer to finish a meal in style. Angela Salvatore, our Executive Pastry Chef, is inspired by the seasons. Her imaginative take on ingredients come together in a way that demonstrate Angela's passion for the best while showcasing the flavors nature and the San Francisco Bay Area have to offer.
