Welcome to Waterbar!

Regarded as San Francisco's foremost seafood restaurant, Waterbar continues to set new standards of sustainability, variety, and excellence in the sourcing, preparation and presentation of food from the sea. Waterbar is situated in a prime location on the waterfront of San Francisco’s Embarcadero, just south of the “Cupid's Span" sculpture, featuring panoramic views of the bay, Bay Bridge, Treasure Island, and the San Francisco skyline.

Festa DI VINI di piemonte is coming…

In the beautiful and steep rolling hills of North West Italy lies Piemonte, one of the great growing regions for Italian wine. Piemonte is also known to enjoy an amazing fall season, which invites classic wine pairings with seasonal culinary bounties. We are so inspired by it that we want to celebrate!

This November, we will be featuring four wonderful Piemontese varietals by the glass, like Arneis, Barbera, and Nebbiolo from the iconic villages of Barolo and Barbaresco. Pairings curated by our Beverage Director, Francisco Bazo, will perfectly compliment the gastronomic works of Chef Justin Baade. Featuring seasonal Piemontese ingredients like truffles from Alba and chestnuts.

This will be a two-week long offering from November 1st through the 15th .

Our Oyster Giveback Campaign is going strong!

Waterbar proudly donates 5¢ for every oyster sold in support of our local community. We are pleased to partner with Miracle Messages. Waterbar strives to ensure the highest standard of environmentally safe, sustainably-sourced seafood from both local and international waters, respecting seasonality and the natural essence of the sea.

Under the guidance of Chef Parke Ulrich, Waterbar presents a daily menu of fresh-caught, sustainably sourced fish and shellfish as well as the most expansive selection of oysters on the West Coast, served sparkling fresh from the famed beds of California, Washington, British Columbia, Massachusetts, Maine, Virginia and Prince Edward Island. 

Waterbar's dessert and pastry selection is a requisite for our guests who prefer to finish a meal in style. The imaginative take on ingredients come together in a way that demonstrate Waterbar's passion for the best while showcasing the flavors nature and the San Francisco Bay Area have to offer.
