keith rada     { general manager }

Keith Rada brings 15 years of restaurant experience to his role as general manager of Waterbar, a position he earned following two successful years as an integral member of the opening management team. Rada is responsible for the overall operation of the restaurant, including directing and mentoring the staff and assuring that each guest has a memorably excellent dining experience. Rada was also part of the team that garnered a prestigious three-star review from San Francisco Chronicle restaurant reviewer Michael Bauer.

Rada began working with Waterbar's owners, restaurateur Pat Kuleto and chef Mark Franz, in 2003, when he joined the Farallon team as a server. He quickly worked his way up to manager, and, between 2007 and 2009, was called upon to put his expertise to the test, serving as a manager at both Farallon and the then newly-opened Waterbar. Rada has also worked at Kuleto's Belle Époque-style gem, Boulevard.

Prior to relocating to San Francisco, the Chesapeake Bay native spent nearly a decade working in upscale East Coast eateries such as Le Zinc and Out of the Fire Café & Wine Bar in Maryland, and D.C. Coast in Washington, D.C. Having witnessed firsthand the decline of the fisheries in the Chesapeake due to pollution and overfishing, Rada takes great pride in Waterbar's unstinting commitment to sustainability.

Rada currently resides in San Francisco. He spends his free time hiking in the Marin Headlands and camping in Yosemite National Park.
