Waterbar Celebrates the Sea Urchin With The Ritz Half Moon Bay
The first-annual Half Moon Bay Sea Urchin Celebration will take place on The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay’s Mar Vista Lawn from 1 to 4 p.m.on Sunday, October 8, 2017. Tickets will go on sale on May 1, 2017(further details, including ticket price, to be announced at this time).
To celebrate the bounty of Half Moon Bay and pay tribute to this unique ocean delicacy, Northern California’s finest luxury oceanfront resort –The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay – is pleased to announce that it will host the first-ever Half Moon Bay Sea Urchin Celebration on Sunday, October 8, 2017. The event will lend attendees the opportunity to taste a number of sea urchin-centric dishes created by the resort’s own Chef de Cuisine, Jason Pringle, and a host of other renowned chefs from restaurants up and down the California Coast, all while sipping local beers and wines and enjoying bluff-top views of the Pacific Ocean. These celebrated chefs will face-off in creating the most original and delicious uni dish, and there will be both a Diner’s Choice and a Professional Choice winner.
In an effort to support the resort’s Community Footprints, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Project Open Hand, a nonprofit organization that provides meals with love to critically ill neighbors and seniors while helping them recover from illness, get stronger, and lead healthier lives.
